# What a stupid policy
If terrorists were going to photograph this shopping centre they would find a way regardless of the ban.

# riiight!
you'd think if you were a terrorist you'd be a little more surreptitious when planning a job

# damn straight
it's very easy to get hold of miniature video/still cameras with half-decent quality that can be easily concealed

wristwatches, cigarette lighers, car keyfobs, ties, baseball caps, sunglasses - and that's just some of the off-the-shelf miniature video cameras that can be bought extremely cheaply from China

I got some sunglasses, wristwatch, cigarette lighter & car keyfob cameras, quite fun little toys really

# 640x480 camera, several hours recording on a single charge, 2gb sd card, a bit of sticky tape
all for less than 10 quid

# I read it differently to you guys...
I took it that they thought the bloke was noncing-it-up by taking photos of his own daughter, and the police decided to abuse the terrorism act to try and take his phone off him.

Sometimes this country just makes me want to weep with impotent fury.....we're all guilty till proven innocent these days.

# welcome to the police state

# It's the "we're going to delete these photos" line that really pisses me off
if the photos are illegal, they're evidence of a crime and the police have no right to delete evidence

# and anyone with half a brain knows that there's free software out there that can recover deleted photos from memory cards
stupid police
