If he does fix ppcs he must have a hard drive floating aboot, Replace the hard drive and re-install windows, if that doesnt work its something more serious.

XP black or some such pants? Last system I witnessed with that had 72 infections after a fresh installation.

Look, if he's replaced the hard drive, and re-installed windows you would have no problems with the memory filling up.
It takes years to get that sort of problem from a clean install. Therefore it's a hardware problem. Either motherboard, or RAM. Can't be hard drive as he's already changed it. The trouble with that is that shouldn't cause your hard-drive to fill up with bollocks.
