I do know you can buy knock-off Converse for about £3 in Primark. I suppose they're good in an emergency, can't say I've ever bought a pair.

This is the pair I have (black lowrise pair on the left), complete with zig-zag cut tongue protector, and notice the extra flap of leather on the side. That is so the utility pole doesn't chafe the actual boot leather.

# the design of these thing are totally impressive. They put an extra piece of leather under the laces so that the laces don't chafe the actual boot.
You can also ship these back to WestCo and have them factory refurbished
