I've seen the pic
It looks unmistakably lion-shaped even though it's very grainy. But it could also easily be a fake.

the zoo people said from the start that it was a rubbish picture
but like the police, they had to act like it was a real threat until proved otherwise.

Ah yes, that's the one I was referring too
Definitely liony, but also easily-fakeable. The news story I saw it with seemed to imply that was the photo.
