I think I mistook it for another film from around then that I hadn't seen, but I don't know know what that might be.

I watched it all the way through

and by the end I was so fucking livid that I added Tom Cruise to my list of actors that I will not watch. It's a list of precisely two at the moment, the other being Robin fucking bastard Williams.

The last Jim Carrey movie I saw was Eternal Sunshine, which wasn't too bad. I've seen Man on the Moon and Truman Show as well, neither of those are terrible.

Films I didn't even know he was in: Dead Pool and Earth Girls Are Easy.

There's nothing on the level of What Dreams May Come or anything in the Cruise ouvre there, sorry.

And Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a fantastic film.
So, all in all, I think he gets by.
