In amongst all the Harry Potter shite, and various other movie tat (with exception to Charlie Chaplin's room) I was lucky enough to see this man's exhibition, it was like I were a boy again, but to see some of his creations up close was both heart warming, and exhilerating.
The Gorgon (despite its decayed state), Bubo, Pegasus, and Calibos from 'Clash of the Titans' were my favourites - Bubo's size and detailing was amazing, Sinbad's skeletons and the various other creatures from the likes of 'Jason and the Argonauts' were simply brilliant.
I'm saddened to hear about the passing of one of my favourite monster movie greats.
Showing my Missus each piece, and trying to explain which movies we've seen them in was tricky, that is, until the Christmas period when all the festive 'monster movies' get their annual re-runs - then, suddenly the penny dropped and she too, shared the awe and fascination of this mans art.
