One of the first , if not the first, johnny fart pants strip has him going to the comic shop to buy 'joke funnies' and one cell in that strip has the said 'joke funnies' cover with the immortal words 'was mickey Mouse a bum rapist'? across the cover....alas My dad, in his wisdom rippped up that magazine.. oh to see that frame again........

I , by complete fluke was in the kard bar (or whatever it was called) in Newcastle buying heavy metel badges (Iron Maiden etc) and came across the first ,and I mean the first Viz comic... I instantly bought it on the premise of the nude Fenicks girl on the cover and became an over night success at school.. I didn't tell where I got the mags from and then my dad found them and ripped them all up !!!!
