# Clipper claws of fun
I love this.

Also, I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed that I have no idea what a ZX SPECTRUM is. Don't make me google this compo!

# 10 years on b3ta and you've not heard of the Sinclair Spectrum home computer?

# Vaguely. What's weird is that I was programming an HP 9830 (or something) in 1972.
I'm not Bill Gates!

# Ah, in that case, he'll be more than familiar with it's North American counterpart,

# No, but I had a friend who worked at the Atari company.
Things were actually made in the country of origin back then. His dad was one of the first silicon boule engineers. Not very exciting times.

# I was being somewhat facetious.
During the home computer boom of the early '80s, there were many manufacturers in both the UK (e.g. Sinclair, Acorn, Dragon, Oric, Amstrad) and the US (e.g. Apple, Commodore, Atari, Radio Shack, TI), but not many of the ones made over here were popular or even released over there, although most from there were available here.

# Like tv shows. Fucking usa. I'm just grateful some station ran The Young Ones.
I still can't believe I was right in the middle of all of that stuff. I even know someone who had 10% of Apple, but whose attorney ran off with the money. Nerd history.
