Hello everyone,
A while ago (can't be more specific than maybe 2-3 years ago) a link was posted on the links board to a guy who, let's just say, was an eccentric song writer. He had a very poorly laid out website with some of his songs that he'd written. He was even, if I remember correctly, offering his services, genuinely, as a songwriter and to be quite honest the tracks weren't necessarily of the highest quality, technically speaking or performance wise.
One of the songs however became a meme with a friend of mine. We'd sing it almost weekly to each other. The only lyrics either of us can remember are:
'Oh the corn don't grow, since Jaiiiiimie, left the county.'
That's literally it.
I have googled every variation of that line and cannot find the man's website any more. I NEED to hear that song again. I MUST turn this dreadful year around and give both myself and my friend a light at the end of the tunnel.
If ANYONE remembers the post or has some way of finding it for me, I would be ETERNALLY grateful.
I'm pretty certain the description on the post didn't even have much other than 'This guy seems like a great songwriter' or words to that effect.
Is this a bonkers request? Most certainly. Can anyone help? Unlikely. But if anyone can point me even vaguely in the right direction, Christmas will be saved.
Thank you in advance!

if it's any help this wasn't a YouTube link, it was his own website, which looked very much like it had been constructed using Geocities.

But ALAS, still not he.
I'm so appreciative of your efforts and also so sad that I've still not found him.

Can you remember anything about the style of music, the instrument(s), or any other useful clues?

It was country. All slightly out of tune and warbly, out of tune singing.

do you have any other data referencing this chap? texts etc.?
if you have a rough date, can you check back through your browsing history, or the links history? try a search on there.
what platform did he use? YT ?
try other search methods, like Images.
how would you categorise his style ? Country ?
go to a Country forum with your request.
somebody, somewhere, knows something.
Good Luck, and Merry Xmas.
