He occasionally punches down, but his balance of up/down is strongly up, unlike many so-called comedians. And he's funny, unlike many so-called comedians.

Once, when there was a more obvious ironic element,
an audience who understood that and a sense of the world having moved on, maybe.
I don't think he's personally a bigot on most issues (though the trans stuff seems sincere, which muddies that water), but you'd think having his material shared by Turning Point UK would have given him pause for thought. He seems completely unaware how the world (and his own audience) has changed in the last 15 years, or how ironic bigotry is used by the far right.

He's shit, everything he's done has been cringeworthy, even being a shit music reporter on radio
and in particular The Office is the most awful fetid stew of bollocks I have ever seen.
On the other hand, I assume he makes money, so enough people must be happy enough to part with it and post it into his gurning orifices.
