# Save My Pub from Closing
I went to the closing night of the Pineapple - the pub at the end of my road.

The owners sold it - on the condition that the new owners continue it as a pub - however nasty developers have got in and are turning it into flats.

Not good.

It's been in the papers, Evening Standard & Camden New Journal, and Radio4s You & Yours... And there is an email campaign to get Camden council to stick their oar in.

Please send emails to Case Officer John Davies at [email protected] saying 'Please keep the Pineapple pub open... The loss of our traditional neighbourhood pub in the name of making a quick buck will have detrimental effects on the community.' Or something like that.

# Name's all wrong
That's why they've gone under. They should have called it the Kitten and Zeppellin. I'd have drunk there then.

# Pub - now that's a thought...
I'd love to see the sign for that place!

# Yes
That would be good. I too would drink there. The karaeoke night would have to be pretty amazing, too.

'musk ox musk ox not very dirty...'

# camden are terrible for that
they wanted to close down the Parkway - and they're doing that whole mental bit of stuff to the block of buildings that has the station in it.

# They do
that down here in darkest wiltshire too.

They tore down a listed 17th century brewery and pub to makeway for a development of "cosmopolitan" town houses for the young professional! Bastards should be shot.

Maybe you could organise the next B3ta outing to the Pineapple, drink it dry and then squat until new owners can be found.
