# kiddies games
I seem to be the only person in my office here who remembers playing a game called 'Best Man's Fall' as a kid. You would stand on a slope and your friends would choose an imaginary weapon (machine gun, hand grenade axe etc...) and kill you with it from a distance. The person with the best death throes won. Ah, halcyon days. So am I the only one who remembers this?

# Nope
although I remember the game as 'What do you want to die of?' where we played it in the swimming pool, one person would shout "what do you want to die of?" and you had to act it out as you fell in. The person who guessed got to enact the next death etc. My mum didn't like me playing that though....

a favourite pasttime of ours. There was an abandoned school near our house and round the side, next to a roof about a story and a half high, was a ditch that had three or four matresses in it. So we'd stand on the roof, be gunned down, missiled or in some way bludgeoned from a distance, before falling to our deaths on the matresses below. When im feeling down, my brain gives me recurring dreams of thiose days and I wake up feeling good again. Brains are good.Sometimes.

# oh is THAT where the name's from?!
...I was in an hi-lar-ious comedy thing at Uni which was called Best Man Fall.
We got in trouble with the Christian Union for having rude posters.
Ah, happy days...

There was an issue of The Invisibles (grant morrison comic) based on this very game. I'd never heard of it before I read that - I seem to remember Grant saying it was a Scots thing.
