# i declare this a threadjackering
i sent this to everyone in our company after having to clean off *another* computer of the bug bear virus ('cos they left it in there deleted items). now people are moaning at me over it. was i a little bit patronising?

because some of you have difficulty in following even the simplest instructions, i'll try and make this as clear as possible.

1) open outlook express (it's the little envelope icon with the swishy arrows around it)

2) right click on the words "Deleted Items" (point the little arrow pointy thing which moves around when you move the the mouse over those words and press the right mouse button)

3) click on the words "Empty 'Deleted Items' Folder" (point the little arrow pointer movey thing over the words and press the left mouse button)

4) click on "Yes' (point the movey arrow at the word 'Yes' and press the left mouse button)

all done. you don't need to know why, just do.

# I particularly like
the "you don't need to know why" bit.

Very useful when trying to teach parents how to use these new fangled machines.

my dad now owns some spankingly riduculous machine and also has broadband and still can't open
a frikkin pdf without phoning me but I got the upper hand cos I don't have to live in Croydon anymore

# step two's awfully ambiguous
I can imagine a few of your users managing to open deleted items, turn on the preview pane and open all messages from there
