in vaguely related news, I was in the pub last night with a few mates, and one fella I didn't know so well was talking about his Saturday night out. More specifically, he was talking about the practice of getting your mate to chat up a fairly plain girl so that you can chat up her more attractive mate.

This bloke called it 'throwing yourself on the grenade' and I found that really funny.
