sorry for tj, there was a powercut whilst I was changing the password on my router [dlink dsl504] and now it's not accepting any passwords. Can anyone tell me what to do!?

nah, it's probably reset to the f\actory defaults.
or it's settings may be corrupt and you need to perform a hard reset on it to get it back to the factory default settings.

you could try using
the reset button... power it up with it pressed in. or it may be set to whatever the default is.
