I need to reslove this issue
Is "yarr" generally used by pirates and "arr" by other salty old sea-dogs? I think the "y" in "yarr" adds a certain element of danger and excitement.

seems more piratical to me and "arr" just a generaly salty term (also be carefull not to confuse "arr" with "arrgh" an altogether more painfull sound...
