edit - BBQs I've been to with lots of veggies there tend to have two barbecues going - one for meat and one for other stuff. Barbecued veg is good, veggie burgers etc will do as well. And it's always fun to stick a few lamb chops in there for them too (not really).

all barbecues i have been at that have a vegetarian nearby seem to have a 3 bean salad. is this code for something?

I once tried some linda mccartney sausages.
They actually taste pretty good - nothing like a real sausage of course - but they have a very unique flavour.
