No? Well I'll tell ya.
A friend of mine was bitten on the nether regions by a dog. I spent all of yesterday at the ER.
He got 8 stiches and lots of pain killers.
No Halloween boozing for me, no sir.
He needed a nice stiff one (no pun intended) after that was over and done with though.

The dog was only being protective of it's owner. He deserved what he got.
And no, he wasn't exposed. He was bitten through his pants.

That's really the only part I missed.
On the plus side, I now have a story I can tell for years and years to come.

If I can do it then I'm fairly certain you could do it too, only 20 times faster and with infinitely more style.

I didn't have any externals plugged in when I did mine, thankfully. Sounds like the Advice Notice that Apple are giving is bollocks though... lots of people are reporting problems with regular firewire drives, not just FW800s... :(

when I was hosting from mine... typing the correct address on my local puter (behind the router) always called up the router config... visiting from any external puter showed the site. Using a proxy to view my own site worked for a bit, but proxies are a pain in the arse, so I gave up!
hope that helps though :)
