the fine art of going through the skip outside the uni IT dept back entrance on a friday afternoon when they throw out the "useless" stuff.
Like 5 lots of coax network cabling that could touch the ground when hung out of my 5th floor window. Or the full-height rack-mount cabinet with the glass door that we couldn't lift to take home on the tube :o(
