And I'm sorry to TJ, but I have a serious question:
Like probably everyone I have a huge collection of very good images that appeared here, but of course I can't remember who did which one. I'm invited to show visual stuff on sunday afternoons in a club. What do you think about making a slideshow with all those images? I couldn't give credit to anybody in particular, but of course I'd put the b3ta logo and URL on the screen.

i'd imagine it would be fine.

why not collect the images you want to use, put them on your own website, and invite people to look at it, and if they ask you to take it down do so?

I wouldn't earn a (Euro-) Cent with it. I'll think about that website idea - problem would be to make it popular enough without pissing everyone off by repeated posting.

that most of the original (pre shopped) images were stolen anyway so permission from the artist who shopped it would only be half.
SO what the others say is best, post them and ask people to own up.

to put them up and connect the image collection to a database, so people can input their username if they did a particular image. I may do that then.

Maybe you could create some web pages with thumbnails to let forum members spot their own. Place the addy in your profile and let your username tell people that it's there...
