*100% fact of matter

# It
was actually a good film.

# yeah
i gotta agree with that man.

# let's see...
the "actor" who played Anakin for one...

the INCREDIBLY ANNOYING "Falling in love" sequences.

and the absolutely shitty battle between Duku and Yoda.

# Of course he was an actor
he's not Anakin Skywalker in real life.

And the lightsaber battle was ace!

...are you comic book guy?
(, Wed 14 Apr 2004, 21:03, archived)
# no I am not
I dunno...

I personally think it was the worst Star Wars ever.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2004, 21:19, archived)
# the overly cheesy love scenes sucked a bit (imho)
but I reckon that episode 1 was the worst starwars ever and that the yoda vs duku rocked...

# you gotta be kidding me!
You could see the damned green screen behind Christopher Lee. It's like he was cut out by a 5th grader.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2004, 21:36, archived)
# The love scenes were necessary
Otherwise, fans would have complained. It was a cache 22 situation for him.

And Yoda kicked ass.

# Why didn't Padme get MORE of her outfit ripped off?
The clone army should have all worn jockstraps and gym shoes to make it more homoerotic

# You should be a film critic
I'd never have notced that myself.

# The bit where he was dreaming
the entire cinema laughed at that bit.

The bit where R2D2 suddenly developed the ability to fly - argh!!

The C3PO head swapping joke, that was really stupid.

The bit where Anakin was riding on the back of that enormous bedmite things, that just looked completely fake.

I liked the Yoda light-sabre fight though.

It was generally ok, but had some stupid bits in it. I thought of producing an edited version.

# a gagillion times better than ep1
still glad they blamed the fall of the republic on jarjar...

# it was ok
for a sci-fi film. But somehow didn't have the same feel and atmosphere of the originals. But it was about 1673.92 times better (at least) than Episode I though.

# I think
It was because we were all younger then and the merchandise helped bring good memories.

Maybe there was too much CG. Although I was flabbergasted when I learned 2 weeks after seeing it that the Clonetroopers were fake.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2004, 21:06, archived)
# I don't blame the CG
most of it was very good - although there were times where it lapsed. There is one bit where Anakin just walks straight through a door (it didn't open far enough for his head to go under, so it kind of goes "behind" it instead).

No, it's not just memories. I watch Star Wars regularly. The Empire Strikes Back is the best one.
