# Late night advice required
Hello peeps. sorry the hummus hasnt been flowing recently...

Anyway, this evening...

Went along to a charity gig to take some photographs (was introduced by a friend in the band and have taken some images included in local rag). Went along with my digital-SLR (EOS D60) and took about 400 photos (thank you one gigabyte microdrive). great lighting.

anyway, right at the end when everything had finished, a cute girl of about 23 came over to me, introduced herself, said that she loved having her picture taken and would i take one of her?

I duely did, she chatted to me, I asked for her number. she said she had a boyfriend. I said OK, im just a photographer. She said so is she - works at the local rag. gives me her name & department, kisses me, fucks off.

now what is this? an infatuation with me? get this into perspective - she was about 22-23, 5'6', slim, gorgeous. I am 30 odd, looking near 40 odd, 5'9' and 18 stone. I don't fecking tend to be chatted up too much (espec by cute young ladies)

Or is this a career development thing? because i have pro equipment and take shots all night maybe she thinks im into the music press (and what photographer doesnt dream of a career photographing bands?)

its bloody odd. im confused. please help me understand, friends of B3TA

And even if she does turn out to only be interested in you for your zoom lens, at least you should have some nice pictures by the time you find out... A plan with no drawbacks!!

If she is so obvious as to ask immediately whether you are a pro, then you have your answer! If not, you can just ask out for a friendly drink, to show her the photos already taken. You don't have to launch into 'I'm not really a photographer you know' or elaborate lies - just see how things go!
