
stance on this before, Bob. Why do you not think it is possible to waste a thread? I understand that this is a place to share and laugh and chuckle, but is not it preferable to include a picture (original, own work etc)?

and people are allowed to post messages - regardless of what that message contains.
It's never been an official rule of b3ta that you cannot start a thread without a picture or link - it seems to be a made up rule that has self-perpetuated itself somehow.
It even got to the stage where the FAQ was updated to say it's OK to start a thread without a picture.

and gets it pushed down before anyone can comment, due to people saying "teaspoons" and stuff, that's plain mean!

Nobody has any right to a certain amount of time on the board - you post and you take your chances.
In fact, I would rather have my work pushed off the board by somebody talking nonsense, than by somebody saying, "Reposted, because nobody was about at 3am this morning." That, to me, is a lot ruder.
