# but surely none of the stuff on here
looks like stuff you should be looking at while you're at work
(, Thu 16 Sep 2004, 23:31, archived)
# the board's colour code was designed to look inconspicuous
if you saw this from a distance, you'd think "research?"

but if you saw a pair of tits, you'd think "pair of tits, P45"

# seconded
if someone was looking at that at work and they told their boss to use their eyes and that they were a blind cunt fucker, that wouldnt stand up. so it doesnt stand up here.

# that sounds
like some kind of comedy official forms/porn-hybrid bingo call

# It's a board policy
that NSFW is to be linked.
(, Thu 16 Sep 2004, 23:36, archived)
# i know that
i'm just saying your boss will also be curious as to why you are looking at a kitten being chased by a pair of domo kuns at the top of the page
(, Thu 16 Sep 2004, 23:37, archived)
# Of course.
But looking at kittens isn't an instantly sackable offence in most companies.

# it will cause the boss to become curious as to why you keep going
back to the odd page with the picture of kittens and domos, rather than, i don't know, working?
(, Thu 16 Sep 2004, 23:40, archived)
# Maybe you get disciplined, then.
But you won't get instantly sacked.

Anyway, it's all academic, as it's board policy.

# i think the point is...
that the telling off will be slightly
less severe where porn is not involved...

# surfing isn't necessary a problem...
even surfing b3ta... some companies are fine about surfing if it's in breaks / lunchtime as they realise keeping people at their desks is preferable to them disappearing off...

what is more consistent is that viewing porn is not allowed, and definition of porn is so difficult it usually comes down to nudity... that's why companies have successfully been done for allowing page 3 calendars and the like as it creates an unacceptable environment for women in the workplace...
