I know how he did it...
but I don't know how he manages to get such reasonable .gif sizes with such high quality results 8( (especially the minivan B&W one)

Small number of frames
No dither
Lowest number of colours possible
As lossy as possible
Minimum image size
Check file size with transparency on or off

That is what I usually do...
However, I have a sneaky suspicion that ImageReady has better compression than Fireworks (even if the quality isn't as good [or not])
