if you don't know what they are. It's something you'd have to jump through a few hoops to enable.
I'm guessing it's China. They're cunts.

We'd been caught smoking a joint (fucking stupid of us, I know). Here's a little snippet I remember like it was yesterday:
Me: "I didn't realise it was illegal"
Policeman: "You should have checked first. China is not training, it is battle"
My mate: "Are we going to jail?"
Policeman: "You could pay me 4000 yuan (back then about AU$1000), or spend the night in a cell"
Me: "I'll spend the night in the cell then"
Policeman: "It is not up to you to decide"
Suffice it to say that my holiday was cut short due to lack of funds.

"Here's a choice that we're going to decide for you".
'Net access for the entire country is run through a government proxy server. They decide what you can see and what you can't. I find this detestable.

You should see the Chinese version of a housing estate - over 20 identical skyscrapers in one big block, with only a symbol on the front to separate them.
(almost literally)Paper thin walls, too.

I'd buy my all of my hot neighbors bright hallogen lamps and watch their silhouettes on my walls.

Mind you, it got quite frustrating listening to my neigbours arguing every morning. It came from three different directions one time.

But my Chinese is limited to phrases like "I don't want it", "No money", or "You have no arsehole, and you can't even shit".
On reflection, maybe I should have done that...

We were feeling lucky and decided to smoke outdoors, not 100 metres away from a guy that had a machine gun. About 2 blocks away from Tiananmen Square.
One of my stupidest moments...

One of my stupidest moments...
there's plenty of awesome shit in China, but I really did get the feeling that there were lots of things that they don't want us Laowai to see.
edit: another stupid moment - i thought you'd replied to my post above. It should be mentioned that I'm quite tipsy right now.
