when a brand name is used more than the actual object

i just have no idea what it is. anyone?

they're called "generic brand names" - ie.hoover, biro, xerox etc etc - and generally not a wanted thing cuz the original brand owner then lacks standout from all the other imitation biros/xerox etc.
