# yes yes yes already
waiting at the docs surgery one time, I read the only thing available to me which was a caravaning magazine.

The letter of the month was a story of a chap who had longed all his life to own a Rover 260, and the day eventually came that he owned one - a secondhand one. That was the story - no punchline - nothing.

# You made that up...
in the old Rover numbering scheme, the first number means the car type (2 = 200 series, 4 = 400 series and so on) and the second two numbers mean the engine size... a 6 litre 200 series... methinks not! :P

# might have been a 216 then
it was a few years ago - the story is true even if the detail is suspect

# haha
my next door neighbour has a k-reg rover 214i, it's the fucking bees. even though it's ancient, it keeps on going and going and going - it's never broken down in ages and it's still very comfortable. got 4 of us down to cornwall and back, with all our luggage and camping gear in. great car indeed.

# S'not
The 1.6's have honda engines, not the 1.4's

*I may be 100% wrong here

# it's all old honda civic underneath, they're the best cars they ever made
the newer round ones suffer from the high quality of craftsmanship at longbridge that ensured rovers success!

actually they were crap, assembled by unionn led monkeys. One of my mates worked there as a cleaner for a summer job, £300-400 a week!

# It's a cracking car,
goes like stink for a 1.4, but it's starting to look a little tatty. if I could get another I would, but i don't want a newer Rover

# correction
