I saw it a couple of years ago and it was grand. Radio recordings are better than TV recordings, which always descend into interminable tedium.

Not always.
Went to see them filming the new series of 2 Pints of Lager... a few weeks back. That was fun, if only because I'd never seen a sitcom being filmed before.

TV programme recordings most often have loads and loads of retakes at the end where you have to pretend to laugh at something that wasn't funny in the first place.

I've seen quite a few
'specially when I worked at the Beeb and spoke nicely to the ticket lady but I agree, they can be very tedious.

Most of the tv shows I've seen filmed have been chat type shows
Like Room 101 or The Late Edition (which we're off to see again next week).
Which don't seem so bad as there aren't many retakes, they just sit and talk and edit it down later.
