# Hello my steeplejack friend
There was an 'issue' regarding licensing: but if you can still find it "newkind" was VERY true to the original. Good on 'IBM/PC' , Linux, BSD ... probably easiest to find the PC version.

It was reverse engineered from an image of the BBC Master version (i.e. filled polygons!) but without all the retro-rockets nonsense of later (read lesser) versions. :)

# Ta muchly
I have several Amiga emulators but I'm too much of a gimp to get them working :(

# Ooh.
I've found the version I downloaded before the license issue came up (.zip file).

Buzz me if you want it.

# Nice!
Instead of sticking my details on here there's a link to my pics in this profile. I think my email is listed on the flickr profile (if you're a flickr member).

# Bah
flickr is not loading up for me atm. [Same with imagespack]. What's wrong with my DSL?!

If you could obfuscate your email here I'll send it: otherwise my gmail account is "a seven letter word with no vowels" @ gmail.com

You do the math.

# Tears of joy...
... revising Lave! And it works great on my PC.

It also gives me a rare chance to post a pic of my pride and joy...

And the BBC was the last machine I knew how program. Things got boring after that...

# Handy :)
Still think the original BBC Micro version was the best though.
Still got fond memories of that gut wrenching adrenaline rush when the Thargoids dragged you out of hyperspace and you spent the next few minutes going 'ahh! shit! shit! aargh! holy crap!' and frantically trying to avoid getting pulverised.
(, Sat 29 Jul 2006, 0:43, archived)
# yeah
that was the best version. But my BBC is long since history, so my A3000 version is the only one I have. Still brilliant though, even if the military laser isn't as kick-ass.

# i personally can't wait for elite 4
