100% True...
How's that for de-motivational?
(Yeah, I know, it's nothing, just a little dent-but was still enough to be a write-off. Not my fault and yet I still have to jump through hoops to get anything from my insurance company...)

Yup, that's a write-off (Radiator shunted back about an inch)
and in answer to your 2nd question - some silly bint in a 2-yr old corsa. Which had an even teenier bump in it. And took her 4 days to get her insurance details to me.

Oooooooh, nasty! Good luck :)
When my car got nicked and arsoned, I had to go through the insurance process.
In the end, I decided not to get any money because I was 18 at the time, and it was cheaper just to keep my no claims.
Sad fact of life that they'll find a way to keep your money rather than pay out! :)

Can someone please explain to me why people would pay for insurance that doesn't pay out?
Put the money in an emergency savings account, for fucks sake.

Meh. Mine were willing pay but...
... the payout was less than my no claims was worth.

I still don't understand. How does this provide peace of mind?
That's all you're buying with an insurance policy, isn't it?

Nah, all you're buying with a policy is...
... the benefit of you and your vehicle being road legal.
