# :D
The horrible thing is I can't actually wrangle a cutlass really. I'm trained in Talhoffer style fighting but that's more Big Bastard Swords, really.

Well, the bit I did anyway.

Can you tell him?

# I still love the fact
that there's actually a sword called a 'Bastard Sword'.

That's the weapon I'd want.

# I don't know what my sword would be called really.
I just call it a hand-and-a-half sword, as that's what it's always been called around me.

It's rather large. And in two pieces now the tang's snapped.

# Yeah
longswords were otherwise known as Bastard Swords apparently.

Truly inspired.

# In Vagrant Story there's a weapon called a
Pink Squirrel.

# Haha
yes there is, and I remember it well.

There are some really stupid names in RPGs.

You can swing it one handed if you're well-trained, but it can also be used two-handed. They're sort of between a zwei-hander and a longsword.
Aragorn's spethial sword in Return of the King is a bastard sword.

# *doesn't know any of the words*
Except 'PULL THE BLOODY BLOW WOMAN, YOU ALMOST TOOK MY FACE OFF'

Pfft. I'm much better now....

# I have most of these styles.
I must bring them to a bash one day, so we can all compare weapons.
