I couldn't stand Die Another Day.
It was a load of adolescent single entendres and ridiculous superhero gadgets and took itself far too seriously. And yet these are exactly the things I liked about all the other Bond films* so it was astonishing feat to make them conspicuously awful. The "post 9-11" apology at the intro was rubbish too.
I expect Casony Royale will have no problem following it.
* On Her Majesty's Secret Service isn't a Bond film, just a sort of romantic thriller where the hero happens to be a spy called James Bond.
