I went to watch it last night but couldn't.... Very long story, but my nine year old cousin tells me there is a lot of product placement :o)

If you get the opp. go and see it, well worth it, and if they follow
on the story in the next film, they have a GOLDEN opportunity to bring someone back

It was a load of adolescent single entendres and ridiculous superhero gadgets and took itself far too seriously. And yet these are exactly the things I liked about all the other Bond films* so it was astonishing feat to make them conspicuously awful. The "post 9-11" apology at the intro was rubbish too.
I expect Casony Royale will have no problem following it.
* On Her Majesty's Secret Service isn't a Bond film, just a sort of romantic thriller where the hero happens to be a spy called James Bond.

i know i am in the minority, but i think it's a pile of badly-acted, atrociously costumed, poorly-scripted bobbins.

bond is supposed to drive an aston martin, so that was fine.
in a way, a film going out of its way not to feature brand names is more noticeable/annoying than if brand names we see every day are featured incidentally in shot.

considering some of the liverties they took with the overall story.
I'm wondering if they'll continue the story in 2008?
