Ha ha.
You are all nerdy IT Support people.
I am a goddam Systems Integration Engineer and therefore command your respect and obedience. On your knees, pigs!

I'm not an IT Support People.
I'm an IT Trainer. I don't get to do a lot of training at the moment though, what with the "all hands to the pump" nature of the NHS.
I expect I'll be doing surgery too next. Just to help out, you know.

i'm not
I just work for a company that is so small everyone has to do about 5 jobs. My main job is to design the company brochures / marketing etc. And basically be a PA to my boss. (as he is fucking useless and can't even type an email himself).
But as no-one else here knows anything about computers, I have to get involved.

My main problem is
Because the couple of companies i've worked for since leaving school have been a bit 'Mickey Mouse' when it comes to software etc, I have no actual experience using any packages like Quark, and my only real experience is in Photoshop. SO unless there is a job waiting for me that purely involves photo manipulation then i'm a bit stuffed for progression.

Or,
you could work IN London and live OUTSIDE of London.
I do this and it is all good. London's a horrible place to live anyway.

Leave a diskette on your desk for a few days
with "CV" written on it. I've been called in and offered a pay rise a few times after pulling that one.

I'd be surprised
I'm sure they know how much proper IT support would cost them

I'm an Infrastructure Engineer which sounds better so there.
May actually not be such a good job.
