# Aw! Fishy!
and birdy!

I'm ok my lovely!

Yourself?
(, Mon 18 Dec 2006, 14:34, archived)
# Okay.
A little bit annoyed.

I handed in my notice on Friday, and my colleague then told me that he wanted me to stay, and that if I asked for £40,000 p/a I'd get it.
So now I'm stuck between staying and leaving. Also, that wasn't an official offer, so I'm not sure about the veracity of the statement. It's all arseburgers.

# What do you do?
I'll do your job for £40K. Do you need qualifications?
(, Mon 18 Dec 2006, 14:37, archived)
# Systems (integration) engineer.
Although (as you can probably see) I don't actually do any work. No, you don't need qualifications, but you won't get the job without experience.

# I have loads of experience.
Not necessarily in that field, but still, loads.

You'd be earning 25.75 grand per year MORE than me.

# Unless I don't bother accepting,
in which case I'll be earning 25.75 grand per year LESS than you.
(, Mon 18 Dec 2006, 14:41, archived)
# That would involve you giving money away.
Which is fine, as long as it's to me.
(, Mon 18 Dec 2006, 14:41, archived)
# Okays.
What do I get in return?

I'm not from Ipswich, so it could be sex and you'd be stabby-murder safe, 100% guaranteed.

# Roast dinners and your socks darned for life.
(, Mon 18 Dec 2006, 14:45, archived)
# I get that already.

Pah.

I'm off to do a Christmas shop. If The Neville's on whilst I'm away, tell him he owes me a "You've handed your notice in" card.

*I wont*

# that happenned to my mate,

(, Mon 18 Dec 2006, 14:41, archived)
# I might.
I might well do that.

I'd certainly ask for a month off anyway.
(, Mon 18 Dec 2006, 14:46, archived)
# thats a good idea..
