# Pfft!
but I got more distracted by this whilst I was trying to read the BBC's story.

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/6424937.stm

# Crikey, it's Catherine Tate
(, Wed 7 Mar 2007, 12:08, archived)
# so it is!
I heard about that on the radio this morning.

"If they didn't keep taking our children away we'd stop having them"
(, Wed 7 Mar 2007, 12:10, archived)
# unemployed locksmith?
or a burglar

# 'Unemployed locksmith' made me wonder too.
I wonder if their children are all weird looking?

# "When siblings have children, there is a 50% chance that the child will be disabled"
Has the ring of a hyped-up scare about it, and putting a figure on something unquantifiable.
There is an increased chance of recessive genes matching ... something to do with alleles ... but recessive genes aren't necessarily harmful, and the risks involved in siblings breeding are smaller in the first generation.
