It's depressing to watch helplessly as our democratically elected representatives take such a massive decision with seemingly no consultation whatsoever. It's a fucking big deal, and I feel like there's been less scandal about it than an illegal immigrant who once stole a sandwich.

are they democratically elected representatives if they all work within the same system? for the same system?

Money doesn't come from nowhere. It's based on material things. Like gold and, well, oil. Oil? Hold on there a minute...

you hit the nail on the head
the BAnks create money from nothing and charge us interest - they moved from gold a long time ago
and when they loan to the gov - taxation rises as the banks ask for the interest payments
they bankers have us by the balls

It's a military thing, therefore nobody gets a say in it.
I suspect it happened so that those American chappies could expand their nuclear arsenal without needing to pay for it. We buy our weapons off them, and use them when they tell us to.
I would very much enjoy seeing Mr. Blairs being anally raped by the horns of an enraged, rampant bull.

I'm normally the one who points and laughs at conspiracy theorists, but *apparently* there was an agreement signed between the US and UK after WWII, the terms of which have never been revealed.
Maybe it says 'You limeys are our bitches now'.

We've only just finished off paying our WWII debts to America (and Canada too, I think).
I think we still owe them for WWI though. But yes, I can imagine that there was some stupid little cliquey pact in which we let them tickle our bellies. It would explain an awful lot.
Sometimes our relationship with America makes me want to be French, and that's an awful thing to wish.
