# Absolutely. I too enjoy pointing out the paucity of charater, bad decisions, and failings of others.
It gives me the raging horn to tell people how much better I am than them.

For this reason I enjoy visiting recent car crash victims, and telling them that they shouldn't have been driving so fast in the first place.

# ^this
i feel you have summed all of this up very well indeed

# I think you've got the wrong message from the poster
Still, I personally have no sympathy with people who won't stop smoking but that doesn't mean I rub it in.

# I am against smokers
but I'm really just getting at the company abusing them
(, Fri 6 Apr 2007, 14:04, archived)
# Bah, they're no more responsible for people being too lazy to quit
than a knife manufacturer is for stabbings.

# Government-sponsored drug-dealing
Hurrah!

"Aren't smokers stewpid?"

How righteous!

# yes you're probably right
about the knife manufacturer parallel, but I was just trying to mock the comtempt of the corporation for the consumer. I wasn't digging at smokers
(, Fri 6 Apr 2007, 14:12, archived)
# its a blatent dig at smokers
youve just taken your own view and disguised it as a corporate one

# ahh dont take it so seriously

# don't preach then
I smoke because I like it.

Not because I've been abused and taken advantage of by some company, and certainly not any more abused and taken advantage of by companies than anyone else who buys products made by companies. It's also not because I'm too lazy to quit. I don't want to quit. *smokes and blows smoke in your moaning face*

# regardless of self-control
smokers are still wankers if they're going to insist on inflicting it on people who dont
(, Fri 6 Apr 2007, 14:25, archived)
# I agree.
I don't inflict it on other people. I always smoke outside.

# as i said in another post
im very conscious about where i smoke. i move away from people, walk behind people, i dont smoke in crowds, in pubs or in my own home

# yeh
I find myself palming my cigarette if i walk past a kid in the street.

# Yeah - and people with children.
And people who talk loudly.

And people who listen to music on their headphones too loudly.

And muggers.

And rapists.

And burglars.

And bloody self-righteous whinging holier-than-thou scummers who for some reason think that they're somehow better than anyone else.

FFS. Get in the pit.
