It would be more than my life is worth to even comment on the nights entertainment.

I know what you mean.
Thankfully I've converted my ladyfriend to the joys of Azureus - and we both like similar films, so I'm ok ;)

because at the cinema there's a guy behind with his feet on my seat back, there's two women explaining the plot to each other to my left, to my right there's a guy texting his girlfriend and snorting at her replies, the seat I'm on was made by Spanish Inquisition Inc. All around me people are stuffing their faces with vile smelling food, slurping on drinks, the floor is sticky. The film was supposed to start at 7pm so why are they still running ads at 7.20 ? Oh and it cost £6 to get in and the film is crap.

We go in the Gallery at the printworks. Huge comfy seats, private bar ( they used to have leather recliners and waitress service at the Lowry but they stopped that so we moved ) you get to sit at a table where you can put your beer ( or free soft drinks, tea, coffee popcorn etc ) and not get bothered by others. Mind you even though the £13/£16 price still does not mean the film is not shit but it does keep away the hoi-poloi and their hot dogs.
