i disagree
Matt Groening has wanted to make a Simpsons movie since season 3. They have never been able to until now. The continuing sale of Simpsons and Futurama DVD box sets has shown the studio that it may well be a winning idea - and it may well be the *studios* last gasp at getting cash out of the Simpsons before they pull it, but I think the Simpsons will be around for longetr, whatever the network.
Also, the current series - still 100% better than anything else in its genre on TV at the moment (and yes i HAVE seen Family Guy)
