# It's actually the getting a webpage on there bit
I don't know how to do. Is it easy? If so I don't need to pay for their site building software for the year.

# it depends on the hosting package.
Most people will let you upload by ftp.

If it's a unix server you can use scp to copy your stuff across (use winscp).

# I don't know what any of that means

# Well if you're able to code the site yourself
on your own PC, then you can copy across the files to the site you get with your hosting package. Most hosting packages will give you a way of copying the files across. Those are just two methods.

So look for some cheap hosting that meets the needs of the site you want to build, and look out for any mention of how to upload your content. If you can use FTP or SCP or it has SSH access, then you'll be sorted

# Here you go
www.fasthosts.co.uk/hosting/linux-home/

That seems quite good at £4/month. You also get a .uk domain there.

You'd be able to use WinSCP to upload your site.

# host it on your own server
and simply set the redirection address to the first page.

# It sounds like a server
would be more expensive than the hosting package.

ALthough 1&1 do look the cheapest if I'm stuck with a sitebuilder package.

# Google Apps
supplies 1 year of hosting for about £5 and it has a piss easy online site builder.

You wont need to use HTML at all.

Google it and read the FAQ etc.
