erm the lighting on the cows head is in a bright day and the background is overcast.

you're fucked from the start. The light direction is the same, which is lucky.

Looks ok am I missing something?

For that, I did a feathered select, then tweaked brightness and contrast, then hue and saturation, then probably brightness and contrast again, then I added a touch of blur...

Today held a rather annoying thing; Jesus stepped on my cat, killing her to death.
This was distressing, so I plotted with Hitler and the Legion of Doom to assassinate him.
This did not go according to plan when the moon exploded, showering Jesus with fairy dust, allowing him to escape our clutches.

Alas, I fear I will never get my revenge...
