died on thursday. I was suggesting Sandi had sent him a letter from the BBC telling him he was to be sacked...and that did him in.
Doesn't work if you knew he died of lung cancer.

Dear Mr Coren,


First let me thank you for your years of dedication to the institution that
is the BBC. You will no doubt be aware of the need for the BBC to reduce costs
and it is with regret that we will no longer be requiring your sevices.

The current 'belt tightening' will see the more mature staff giving way to up
and coming talent, and your position on the News Quiz will be filled by Justin
Lee-Collins.

Due to a computing error your pension has been paid in full to Comic Releif.
I'm sure you will be pleased to know that this money has gone to a worthy cause.
