Thinking about it, I got on ok with 98, but that BSOD appeared far too frequently to really feel comfortable.
Also: I just remembered, when I used 98 I found something online that claimed to be the 'solution' to the BSOD... it turned out to be a method for changing the colour of the crash screen, so you could have a RED Screen Of Death instead. Helpful.

It was only open for about 24 hours I think.Personally I thought it was geniunely funny at first, particularly the original thread started by Gronkpan, but by the same token I did understand people being unhappy about it when it expanded beyond that.
