It was made out like they were roughing it in the early series then people moaned about it, so now they have a little disclaimer at the start of the show.

I do still enjoy Bears show though, he does do some mad shit that if you were really in a survivial situation might come in handy.

Ray shows you how to live comfortably in the wilds. Hell he usually has a full set of herbs and spices to cook with!
