Most stuff does not really need seasoningI forgot to buy new salt for a while and now I don't bother putting it on much.
A bit of pepper is good on steak but it certainly doesn't need any salt, not unless you've bought the bland tasteless crap they tend to sell in supermarkets.

I normally buy good quality steak from the local market,I just find salt brings out the flavours. Especially on the fat.

definatlylamb really needs as well. get a good handful of sea salt and rosemary and rub that into the fat of belly lamb and that's more or less heavenly.
