Edit: probably the Blur/Oasis war was largely about which kind of accent you can most easily tolerate. And all the baggage of ideas that accompany that preference.

I thought Blur were overratedbut Damon Allbran redeemed himself with Gorillaz. He's a much better writer than singer though.
