# One of my best friends' dad
committed suicide and afterwards I was always saying things like killing myself laughing and then regretting it big time.

Very odd how you react to tragedies like that.

# It's always the same
sad story there.........but it is always the same. As soon as summat bad happens the language ends up reflecting it no matter how much you try not to bring the topic into the conversation.

# My girlfriend once said ....
.."Why can't you just piss off?" and the funny thing was it was just after she had taken a Restraining Order out. Hahaha. No wait ... that's not really the same thing is it?

# i'm running a fun-run in april - 10 miles
and i keep telling people, "it will probably kill me", which is in poor taste considering i'm running it to raise money for leukemia charity - a friend of mine dying from it last year...

# A friend of mine died from cancer a couple of years ago
another friend wanted to get him a "get well soon" card but when it became clear he wasn't going to she settled for "Enjoy your trip".

The sentiment was thankfully appreciated.
