I mean wow

# Dear Mr Architect
First and foremost, hello. Secondly, what Bond film would you suggest for one who would like to appreciate them but so far has only seen the end of that one with the metal teeth guy and Casino Royale?

Warmest of regards,

Captain Hieronymous Wow, First Class (6 and 3 quarters)

# which version of Casino Royale?
for pure 70s blaxploitation and voodoo weirdness, watch Live and Let Die.

# The new one, I was dragged.
But I enjoyed it, which I wasn't expecting. Apparently that's because it wasn't a Bond film really. Bloody said Bond on it, everyone called the lad Bond and bangs happened.

# A fine afternoon greeting to you.
and as for your second point, this may well stir up controversy - ON THE INTERNETS!, by my opinion would be one of the following:

Connery era - Russia with Love or You Only Live Twice - the latter being my personal fave Connery/Bond flick
Moore Era - For Your Eyes Only
DO check out 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service', as it is quite a good film, despite the general opinion out there of it.

but I'd suggest starting with 'The Living Daylights'.

# all good
but also, Live and Let Die

# I trust your opinion, it's always seemed solid enough.
Also, I shall try to watch the Roger Moore one but I may fail due to his general sleaziness making me feel a bit ill sometimes. He reminds me of a pervy Uncle.

Edit: how rude of me! Thank you, sir.

# then stick with For Your Eyes Only then
his most 'serious' portrayal of Bond, and also a good film, with no discernable and over the top villian.

/it also has the gorgeous Carole Bouquet in it :)

# Right, that's Sunday afternoon sorted then.
You are a veritable encyclopaedia. I owe you a drink or a cake, your choice. Cupcake, mind. The bigger the cake the more likely I am to mess it all up.

# If you turn up at the London Bash,
I'll have whatever is going :)
(, Wed 16 Apr 2008, 12:20, archived)
# Turn up? I've got to get there pre everyone else
for the barbeque. Plus Dix is getting in early so I want to be at least in London if not already at Ghostie's by the time he gets in.

And THEN JPG's turning up in the afternoon on Sunday so it looks like I'll be in Londres for most of the weekend.

# On Her Majestys Secret Service
the one evryone hates cos its got George lazenby in it, is actually a damn corking film.

Diana Rigg is the best Bond girl ever!
